Shashikala, a popular actress of 90s in Hindi cinema, died at the age of 88. Actress Shashikala passed away this afternoon in Mumbai. The actress had been ill for a long time and had stopped working in films and TV serials for the last few years. Shashikala’s full name was Shashikala Jawalkar and she was born in 1932 in Solapur, Maharashtra.

The late actress has acted in hundreds of films like ‘Sujata’, ‘Aarti’, ‘Anupama’, ‘Pathar Hor Phool’, ‘I Milan Ki Bela’, ‘Gumrah’, ‘Waktan’, ‘Sundar’, ‘Chhote Sarkar’, etc. Karke had made an important place in the hearts of the audience. As a good actress, she made a name for herself in films.
