Fennel (ਸੌਂਫ) is a Boon for Health
In Ayurveda, fennel(ਸੌਂਫ) is said to be very beneficial. It is sown in winter. The height of the plants is between three and four feet. The effect is hot and dry. It is considered to be an excellent remedy for diseases of the stomach and intestines. Fennel increases the brightness of the eyes. Removes mucus and urinates freely.
Recognizing its importance in Ayurveda, it has been recognized as a tridoshak nashak (air, bile, and phlegm nashak), intellect enhancer, digestive, and many other properties.
Grind fennel to relieve constipation. Mix one tablespoon of it in Gulkand and take it in the morning and evening after meals to relieve constipation.
In case of cold, boil a teaspoon of fennel in a cup of tea or water and drink it at night before going to bed. The common cold will go away in two or three days. If one’s digestive system is impaired then bad breath starts coming out of one’s mouth. Chewing half a teaspoon three or four times a day removes bad breath and improves digestion.

With regular use, the light in the eyes becomes brighter. If you have a stomach ache, fry one and a half spoons of fennel on a griddle and chew it, the pain will go away in minutes.
